Vidhai: A Dance Tribute to the Women of CMANA

Kiran James presents Vidhai, a solo Bharatanatyam performance with live music as part of CMANA’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. Featuring the premiere of three new works, the program is an artistic tribute to the women of CMANA.

The program includes contemporary Tamil poetry by Sakthi Jothi and honors the legacy and contributions of women who have sustained CMANA and advanced Indian art and culture in the United States. Woven throughout the performance are stories and reflections, including remembrances of Kiran’s late grandmother, Smt. Vasantha Rajagopalan.

Kiran will be joined by an accomplished ensemble of musicians, all based in the United States:
